RABBONI

- BIBLICAL REFERENCE:

It was Used as a title of Honour by Mary of Magdala (MARY magdalene) when she addressed Jesus after the resurrection.

“Mary . . . said unto him, Rabboni, which is to say Master.”  (John 20.16)

- MEANING: A teacher of the law

- PRONUNCIATION:  RABBONI = RAB-BON-EYE

Moses was so named by a daughter of Pharaoh:

and she called his name Moses-. . . because I drew him out of the water

MEANING:    ‘That is - drawn out.’

Moses was commissioned by the Almighty to lead his people from Egyptian slavery and for this purpose was given an authority that was to be demonstrated by his power to produce signs beyond normal. Moses pleaded inadequacy of speech but was granted assistance through the appointment of his brother Aaron. (See Exodus 4,10-17)

Later in life Moses became known as “The Lawgiver” and, there are several references regarding this:

“And Moses wrote this Law. And delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, and unto the elders of Israel. (Deuteronomy 31,9)  
AARON

The meaning of this name in Hebrew is “enlightened”. Aaron was the first High Priest of the Jews and although divinely appointed to assist Moses remained subordinate.

PRONUNCIATION: AARON  =  AIR-RON.

PRONUNCIATION: ELEAZAR  =  EL-LE-AY-ZAR.

MEANING: In Hebrew the name means “God hath helped.”

PRONUNCIATION:  GIBLIM  =  GIB-LIM

MEANING: The direct connection with the building of Solomon’s Temple is its importance. The attributed meaning is “excellent mason” or “stone-squarer”.

MEANING: literally _ “a vow”

A manufactured word based on Hebrew characters. The personal name of the Most High. It is referred to as “ha shem”, “the Name”, “the Ineffable Name” and “the Tetragrammaton”.

BIBLE REFERENCE:

“That men may know, that Thou whose name alone is Jehovah art the Most High over all the earth”.  (Psalm 83,18)

THE WORD IN THE CRAFT: Although the word appears in the Craft and is mentioned in an explanation there is no evidence that it was actually used in ritual or ceremonial.

Meaning: “God” or “I Am and Shall Be”

The word is a contraction of the word Jehovah. But nevertheless is a word in its own right. It is also used as a prefix or suffix in other words.
